Password Resets
If you have forgotten your password or are locked out of the Realtime Payment Manager (RPM), you can securely reset your credentials directly from the login page.
How to Reset Your Password
- Navigate to the RPM login page and click the "Forget Your Password?" link.
- Enter your Login ID and the Email address associated with your account, then click Submit. (Note: Both fields must exactly match the records E-xact has on file).
- Check your inbox for a password reset email and click the provided link.
- Enter and confirm your new password on the reset screen.
- Once successful, you will receive a final email from E-xact confirming your password has been updated.
Time-Sensitive LinkFor your protection, the password reset link delivered to your email is only valid for 15 minutes.
Security Features & Restrictions
To protect your merchant account and sensitive data from unauthorized access, the RPM portal enforces several strict security protocols during the reset process:
- Automatic Account Unlocking: If your account was temporarily locked due to too many failed login attempts, successfully resetting your password will automatically unlock it.
- Active Session Termination: The moment your password reset is complete, the system automatically terminates all other active sessions for your user profile. This immediately kicks out any potential bad actors.
- Rate Limiting: For security reasons, you are limited to a maximum of three (3) password reset requests per user within a rolling 24-hour period.
- reCAPTCHA Verification: Every reset request is verified with reCAPTCHA. If a request fails our automated security checks, the system will intentionally show a generic failure message to prevent unauthorized probing.
